We received a call from a customer a few weeks back asking for some suggestions about how they could light up there back yard. We spoke with them and gave them a few great ideas. About a week ago I received a very happy phone call from this nice lady letting us know that they had neighbours and people from the street actually knocking on there door as they wanted to know how they had lit up there backyard and also what they had done to there front yard..

The first suggestion we made was to use a waterproof garden landscape light.. We are the exclusive distributor for these lights and they have actually been featured in a few magazines and on a few various TV shows lately.. These really are amazing. I would recommend you check out the video of them in action..

View the video here

Another suggestion we made was to create a nice fairy sparkle feature was to use these fairy berries…

And the other suggestion that we suggested was to scatter some of these LED multicolour beach balls around the backyard.. ( These also look great inside or placed around your backyard.. They are fully waterproof also so can be used in the pool )

And if you are going to have a backyard fire, Or even if you enjoy camping we can highly recommend this mystical fire

What you will need to make them…

1. A clear bottle or container with a decent lid.

2. Cotton balls

3. Glitter ( colour of your choice )

4. Water

5. Food colouring or fabric die (typically pinks and blues work best, yet you can pick anything that you prefer.

6. A pencil, straw, or any other form of stick

How to make your star galaxy container:

1. To Get started, take your jug and make sure its all cleaned out. At that point add some water to fill the jug ( approx half way )

2. Now you can add your fabric die or food colouring and then mix it all together
with your pencil or straw

3. Now mix in enough cotton ( The amount depends on the size and shape of your container ). Make a point to totally absorb it and continue squeezing with your straw until the cotton has become completely submerged. At that point add some of your glitter to the arrangement and shake it up so that the sparkle spreads through the mix.

4. Now you are going to put more of your cotton on top of the first base level, so you create a second layer. Then make a solution of water and another colour of dye in a separate container and mix that solution over your second layer of cotton. Then add more glitter and mix it up with the straw.

5. Keep doing the last method until you have numerous layers of shading and your container is filled to the top. Secure your amazing bottle/container with a top and hang it where you like.

If you like this please tell your friends about it! – We appreciate your support! – Thank you…

Make a fantastic button bowl using a balloon, some glue and a little patience. Here’s how to do it.

What you will need:

A balloon
PVA craft glue (or any glue that dries clear)
Flat buttons in any size
Paint brush
Cup to stand balloon on
Scissors

Start by inflating your balloon to the size you want your bowl to be. Tie the end of the balloon and place the tied end inside the cup so that the balloon is standing with the rounded end up.

Paint a layer of glue on the rounded end of the balloon in the size you want your bowl to be.

Once the first layer of glue has dried, you can add the buttons. Paint a small patch of balloon with glue and stick the buttons to the glue. Continue adding glue and buttons until you have covered your balloon.

After you get the buttons on the balloon, paint a generous layer of glue on the buttons, covering them completely. This will help hold them together to make the bowl.

If you like, you can wait for the glue to dry and add another layer for strength.

Once the top coat of glue is dry, turn the balloon upside down and use the scissors to puncture the balloon. Remove it from your bowl, and trim the excess glue from the top of the bowl.

Use your new bowl for anything you like, just be careful not to put really heavy items in, or it could warp and break the glue.

This makes a great conversation piece or fun centerpiece for your table, so make one today!

Here is a sweet idea that you can use for weddings, romantic evenings or super girly birthday parties. These pretty doily votives are so lovely, you’ll find lots of excuses to use them!

Making these doily candle holders is easy, but takes a little time. You can make them as large or as small as you like, depending upon the size of the doily that you use. You could try this with paper doilies or even lace to get a different look. Here’s how you can make your own doily votives at home.

What you’ll need:

Balloons
Lace doilies
Mod Podge (crafting glue that dries clear)
Brush

Optional LED tealight candles

Start by inflating your balloon and tying the end. Brush on a layer of Mod Podge on the large, round end of the balloon, then wrap the doily around the glued balloon. Make sure you center the doily to get an even height for your votive.

Brush on another coat of Mod Podge on top of the doily, and allow it to dry completely. For a super stiff and sturdier votive, apply another coat of Mod Podge once the first one is dry.
Once your doily is completely dry, carefully pierce the balloon to let the air out. It should pull away from the doily fairly easily, but if it sticks, wiggle it gently until it turns loose.

If you choose to use a real candle in your votive, place it in a glass candle holder and keep a close eye on it so it doesn’t catch the doily on fire. Or, just use an LED tealight candle for a realistic effect without the fire risk.

You can also paint on a thin coat of glitter paint between the coats of Mod Podge, but remember to let each layer dry before adding anything else.

Have fun creating these pretty doily votives for your next special event!

Now you can make every sip of wine feel like a party with these gorgeous glittery glasses. So easy to make, you probably do them while you’re drinking though we wouldn’t recommend it. Make these for your wedding, your next Girls Night In, or just because. After all, there’s no such thing as too much glitter, right girls?

Materials:
Glasses (any stemmed glass works well)
Glitter
Bowls (for dipping glitter)
Mod Podge
Painters Tape
Small paintbrush
Newspaper to protect your work surface

Use painter’s tape to mark off straight lines on the drinking glass, if you want, or leave it off for a random, freehand look.

Paint on a layer of Mod Podge in any pattern or design you like.

Dip the base and stem of the glass into a bowl of glitter, or sprinkle it on liberally.

Allow it to dry, then brush on a thin coat of Mod Podge to seal in the glitter.
The Mod Podge will look white, but dries clear, so your glitter will shine through.

Hand wash gently to preserve your glitter glasses!

Try this on wine bottles to make coordinating sets for parties or weddings, or try glitterizing disposable plastic party glasses to make any event more glamourous.
